أصدقائنا الأعزاء،
نتقدم إليكم في نور القيامة بقول المسيح "السلام عليكم" وبنفخته على الرسل وهو يوصيهم بأن يغفروا للناس باسم الله. نتقدم إليكم في جسد المسيح الحَمل المذبوح إلى الأبد وفي جرح قلبه الخصب ونحن نقبّل يديه ورجليه التي شوّهها التعذيب. نتقدم إليكم لنطمئنكم عن الحالة التي أنعم الله علينا بها، بأن نبقى ثابتين في الإيمان وممتلئين رجاءً ومتحمسين للمحبة في وسط هذه الأزمنة الكارثية وخلال هذا الزمن الذي فيه يتخبّط الوطن العربي كل هذا التجدد، ضمن هذا العالم الإسلامي الذي نوليه كل اهتمامنا باسم الكنيسة.

Dans la lumière de la Résurrection, dans l’annonce de paix du Seigneur, dans son souffle de réconciliation, dans son corps d’Agneau toujours égorgé, dans la blessure fertile de son cœur, en embrassant ses mains et ses pieds torturés, nous venons à vous pour vous assurer que nous sommes, par la grâce de Dieu, solides dans la foi, consolés par l’espérance et passionnés d’amour en ce temps tragique et infiniment régénérateur pour notre Patrie arabe, dans ce monde musulman qui est toute notre préoccupation au nom de l’Église.

Nella luce della Resurrezione, nell’annuncio di pace del Signore, nel suo soffio di riconciliazione, nel suo corpo d’Agnello sgozzato in eterno, nella ferita fertile del suo cuore, baciando le sue mani e i suoi piedi torturati, ci rivolgiamo a voi per assicurarvi che stiamo, per grazia di Dio, saldi nella fede, consolati dalla speranza e appassionati dall’amore in questo periodo tragico e profondamente rigenerante per la nostra Patria araba, in questo mondo musulmano che costituisce tutta la nostra preoccupazione in nome della Chiesa.

In the light of the Resurrection, the announce of peace from our Lord, His breath of reconciliation, in his body, the Lamb always slaughtered, and in the fertile wound of his heart, as we kiss his tortured hands and feet, we come to you to assure you that by the grace of God we stay strong in faith, comforted by hope and passionate with love during this tragic period of deep fermentation in our Arabic homeland and in this Muslim world which is our great concern in the name of the Church.
